Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

Caroline Baker Law LLC ("the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to cbakerlaw.com ("the Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

This Policy does not govern information exchanged in the context of an attorney-client relationship, which is separately protected by attorney-client privilege and our professional obligations of confidentiality.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide directly. If you contact us through the Site’s contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any information you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site automatically collects certain technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. This information is collected through cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and is used in aggregate form to understand how visitors use the Site.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use information collected through the Site to respond to your inquiries, evaluate potential representation, improve the Site’s content and functionality, and comply with our legal and professional obligations. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
The Site uses cookies — small text files placed on your device — to support basic site functionality and analytics. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect your experience on the Site. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behavior; Google’s data practices are governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
The Site is hosted on Squarespace. We also use Google Workspace for business communications and LawPay for payment processing. These providers may have access to certain information as necessary to perform their services and are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not authorize them to use your information for any other purpose.

NO ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
Submitting a contact form or sending an email through the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not include sensitive legal information in an initial inquiry. An attorney-client relationship is established only through a signed engagement agreement.

DATA RETENTION
We retain contact inquiries and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and manage our intake process. Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google Analytics default retention settings.

SECURITY
We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise any such rights, please contact us at
caroline@cbakerlaw.com. We will respond to verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
